ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Mark

WHERE I COME FROM
Born and raised in Hastings, I have great love and appreciation for this community. Janet (Rotty), my high school sweetheart (HHS class of 83) and I have been married for 34 years. We have three children, and six wonderful grandchildren. I could not be more proud of my family!
After over three decades in education, I continue to be driven to serve the Hastings community and I look forward to engaging in this important work.
THREE DECADES IN EDUCATION
Leadership in public education is challenging, and highly rewarding. Public schools are tasked with a multitude of ever expanding directives. We have been assigned roles related to nutrition, public health, mental health, safety, and of course providing an exceptional education. We have not shied away from our responsibility, we have accepted it. However, because there are many different perspectives on what is good and right, it is challenging to please everyone all of the time.
